Our Veterinarians

Dr. Erin Quigley
DVM, Practice Owner

Erin  Quigley

Dr. Quigley is the practice owner and lead veterinarian at Animal Medical Center of Wentzville.  She is a 2005 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, College of Veterinary Medicine.  She received her Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Missouri State in 1998.  She grew up in Florissant, Mo and moved to St. Charles County after veterinary school.  She previously worked as a veterinarian in Troy and Florissant before taking over the clinic in Wentzville at it’s current location in 2010. 

Dr. Quigley has been working in the veterinary field for 17 years.  Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is not only helping the animals, but building relationships with her clients and their pets for a lifetime. She enjoys working with rescues to help abandoned animals find homes. Dr. Quigley has taken her passion for educating pet owners on how to keep their pets healthy for a long life and has written articles for a local pet magazine called Metropet. Dr. Quigley is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, the Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association, and the Western St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce. She has a 15 year old cat named Murphy who can be found roaming the clinic, a young boxer named Finnegan, and a horse named Romeo that lives on her husband’s family farm.

Dr. Quigley is married with two young and adorable kids (Reid & Edy).  Her husband Ryan helps her with the clinic, performing management/business tasks.  When Dr. Quigley has free time she likes to spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoys spending time outdoors when the weather is nice. Her hobbies include riding horses and bicycling with her husband. She likes to travel when she can.  She is a big St. Louis Cardinals fan and Mizzou football fan.

Dr. Sara Burroughs
DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Sara  Burroughs

Dr. Sara Burroughs joined Animal Medical Center in March 2011. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rockhurst University in Kansas City and then went on to graduate from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and being a veterinarian has been a life-long dream for her. She enjoys helping animals and educating clients on the various aspects of disease prevention.

She grew up in Wichita, Kansas in a very large extended family. She is one of 49 grandchildren and is so far the only veterinarian of them. Prior to moving to the area, she lived and worked in both Kansas City and Huntley, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. She and her husband have three beautiful children: Hannah, Addison, and Carson. Her hobbies include traveling and spending time with her family.

Dr. Jon Nauss
DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Jon Nauss

Dr. Nauss started out as a part-time veterinarian at Animal Medical Center of Wentzville in the Fall of 2014, before going full-time in February of 2015.  Prior to working with us, he spent four years as a veterinarian for the United States Army supporting dogs and missions all over the world.  He graduated from Benedictine College in 2005 and earned his doctorate from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010.

Dr. Nauss is happily married to his wife, Havalyn and his daughters, Aurora and Zinnia, love meeting all the new puppies and kitties at dad’s work.  Dr.  Nauss enjoys spending his free time with his three lovely ladies.

Dr. Nauss is compassionate about providing exceptional surgical and medical care to patients.  He looks forward to meeting you and your pet!

Dr. Lauren Edwards
DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Lauren  Edwards

Dr. Lauren Edwards officially joined Animal Medical Center as a full-time veterinarian in May 2016, after completing her preceptorship with us (she was too awesome for us to let her get away). She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2012 and earned her doctorate from the College of Veterinary Medicine there as well.

Dr. Edwards is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri Veterinary Medical Association and the Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Associations. She is dedicated to being your pet’s advocate and having the animal’s best interest in mind.

Dr. Edwards grew up in Elsberry and currently resides in Wentzville with her husband, Steven, their two Australian Shepherds, Taffy & Roxy, and their cat, Koshka. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, spending time with family and friends and taking her pups to the dog park.

What is your favorite place to travel? Gulf Shores, AL- I’ve been almost every year of my life since I was 6 years old and it’s like a 2nd home to me!
If you could travel back in time, what time frame would you visit and why? I would visit the 1950’s because I’ve always felt like an old soul & am a huge Elvis Presley and Beatles fan.
