Convenient Pet Care: Advanced Veterinary Diagnostics and Onsite Pharmacy
Animal Medical Center of Wentzville strives to offer the latest in veterinary diagnostics and treatments for your pet. We have designed the animal medical center around the needs of our patients and clients. Our comprehensive veterinary service offerings include many diagnostic tools, such as blood pressure testing, intraocular pressure testing for glaucoma.
What makes us even more convenient is our onsite laboratory and pharmacy.
Onsite Veterinary Laboratory
Your pet’s health care is important to us. Early detection of illness and disease ensures the best possible treatment outcome for your pet. In addition to our radiology and ultrasound tools, our onsite veterinary laboratory allows us to rapidly and accurately perform a variety of diagnostic tests, often with results the same day. A sample of our common in house laboratory tests include:
- Blood panel—Includes CBC and serum chemistry to evaluate kidney/liver function, screen for diabetes, and test electrolyte balance
- Fecal exam—To screen for parasites
- Thyroid function analysis
Onsite Pet Pharmacy
For your convenience, the animal medical center hosts an onsite veterinary pharmacy. We offer chronic condition prescription medications at competitive prices, and most cost less than Petmeds.com.
You can feel confident that your pet’s medication is from trusted source, and our staff can monitor dosing and dispensing for your pet’s safety. Additionally, we are available to answer any questions you may have regarding dosing, administration, or potential side effects.
We maintain an inventory of veterinary pharmaceutical products and medications such as:
- Flea control
- Tick control
- Heartworm preventive products
- Post-surgical pain medication
- Chronic condition prescription medications
- Prescription diets
- Pet dental care products
Most refills can be completed while you wait. For faster service, please contact us to discuss your pet’s prescription refill needs. Our onsite pet pharmacy is open during normal business hours.
We stand behind every product that we dispense. We make an effort to be in communication with the manufacturer as your pet’s advocate. This ensures your pet is protected under the manufacturer’s guarantee, and if side effects occur, they will be addressed and paid for by the manufacturer.
We look forward to assisting you with your pet’s medications. Detailed information regarding pet prescription drug safety can be found in Dr. Quigley’s article.
